Kodéni Solar

38MW – Burkina Faso

An essential project for Burkina Faso

Solar power plant in Burkina Faso
Urgent need for Burkina Faso to install additional power generation capacity at a competitive price.

Proximity to the Kodéni high-voltage substation, the first point of interconnection with Côte d’Ivoire, enabling high availability and low grid connection costs.

In Burkina Faso, solar energy is the cheapest and most abundant source of energy in the country.

Local energy needs in Bobo Dioulasso will allow the project production to flow to the nearest and to limit its intermittent impact on the national grid.

New regulatory process designed in order to accelerate the implementation of PPPs in the energy sector.
